Gene Ong

KK Women

Gene is a paediatrician working at the KK Women's and Children's Hospital's Children's Emergency.

He has a keen interest in paediatric resuscitation science, paediatric Point-of-care ultrasonography, paediatric toxicology and simulation training and education.

Some of his academic roles include being a core faculty in the SingHealth Emergency Medicine ACGME-I programme. He is also a decision editor of the Emergency Medicine Journal, chairperson of the paediatric subcommittee of the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council and is a member of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) paediatric life support (PLS) taskforce.

His interests include travelling and is involved in various sports. Of late, his recent interest include high altitude trekking and hopes not to end his career prematurely during these attempts.
